January 6, 2018 Sermon

What if Jesus sat down next to you and asked you "Do you want to be a part of something significant and extraordinary in the church?" How would you answer? In Acts, there were many challenges. Persecution, prejudice, geographic boundaries, human bondage. However, none of this stopped the Movement of God.

We need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. But, how many minutes a week are we interceding to welcoming the Power of God in our church? God wants to move amongst us. We want to see the unhindered movement of God, don't we? What if God wanted you to act beyond just showing up on Sunday? Would you? We cannot act alone; we must have partnership with others in the church and among other people throughout the community.

This is Epiphany Sunday. The Three Wise Men brought the gold, frankincense, and myrrh. It's believed that Jesus was able to use these small gifts to grow to a point to completely fund His Ministry to the point to walk among the earth and spread the Gospel. We want wholeness and we need to focus on the completeness for Christ to be in our lives: spiritually, mentally, physically, socially. God is going to make connections to allow you to move in a way that you never dreamed. God is going to be doing some crazy, interesting, and strategic partnering with this church...and all we need to do is say "Yes!" We need to fight from a place of victory and saying "Yes" shows that we are taking that step toward commitment.

God wants to move, so just say "Yes!"
